Gal Atarot is a highly experienced professional in the medical device industry, having led multidisciplinary system design and development teams for over 15 years, from concept to production and market launch.

As the CTO of MEDX Xelerator, a medical device incubator, he has been instrumental in driving innovation and supporting the development of cutting-edge medical technologies. Prior to this, Gal was the head of research and development at Medical Surgery Technologies (MST), where he oversaw the development and commercialization of an image-guided laparoscope positioning system. Before entering the medical device industry, Gal spent 10 years in an elite technological unit in the IDF’s Intelligence Corps, specializing in micro-mechanics, high-precision electro-optical systems, R&D team leadership, and project management. He also serves as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at XACT Robotics Ltd.

Gal holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (cum laude) and an M.E. in Biomedical Engineering, both from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
